To be able to use map files with the existing map files in DevInfo, they should be in ESRI shape file format. The projection system used for maps in the DevInfo Digital Maps Library is Clarke 1866 Lat/Lon, Degrees, -180==> +180. The shapefiles should be in this projection to make them DevInfo compatible.

The attributes of the shapefile must have Id_ and Name1_  fields. The Id_ field should have unique records.
