New di Analyzer application enables better sub-national data analysis

With the long-anticipated global release of DevInfo 6.0 comes the launch of a powerful new application embedded within the software:  di Analyzer. This application allows users to display and view data in scatter plots to analyze correlations among multiple indicators over time.

di Analyzer displays data in five dimensions - geographic areas, X and Y-axis data values, symbol size and time period - in an animated scatter plot. Three of these dimensions - the X and Y-axis data values and the symbol size - are determined by three different indicators.   The time bar progresses through the animation from the first time period to the last, and users can pause the animation at any point to view the data for a particular time period.

Because di Analyzer enables users to quickly analyze correlations among multiple indicators over time for multiple areas, it can greatly strengthen the capacity of DevInfo partners for visualizing, analyzing and disseminating trend data at all levels - global, regional, national and
sub-national. Users wishing to view their own datasets in di Analyzer are invited to send in their databases to the DevInfo Support Group (support@devinfo.info) for testing, optimizing and uploading to di Analyzer.
