Preview of DevInfo 7.0

PolioInfo
Join this interactive session to learn more about the role of DevInfo in the effort to eradicate polio in India. The PolioInfo database is used extensively in the states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to share customized data to those working in the field. The use of profiles allows for the quick and efficient transfer of data and analysis at the block level, playing a key role in allocation of resources and personnel.

Tracking Equity in Education
This week’s topic includes approaches to tracking equity in education using di Dashboards and
EFA Info. EFA Info is a DevInfo-based database of key education data across the Asia and Pacific region. The di Dashboard is an online tool that presents data in an user friendly format. This session will include country level perspectives on the application of EFA Info in planning and advocacy in the education sector.

UNDAF Monitoring
UNDAFInfo is a customized version of the di Monitoring application. It is currently being used in Cambodia, Rwanda and other contexts to assist UN Country Teams in tracking joint progress towards the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF). This webinar will introduce the software and display its features allowing timely and easy access to UNDAF in a single online dashboard.

Emergency Preparedness Bhutan
EmergencyInfo is a powerful decision support system that helps people respond in emergency situations. Through PDAs and SMS, EmergencyInfo assists in rapid data collection, monitoring progress, and disaster preparedness. In Bhutan the application is used in disaster preparedness and as a tool for report preparation from the field.

CensusInfo
Attending this webinar will give viewers a look into the innovative application used for dissemination of population and housing census results. CensusInfo was created with the UNSD in partnership with UNICEF and UNFPA. It is currently used in multiple countries including Mexico, Egypt and India, which recently undertook the largest census in history. India is using an online data dashboard feature to display key results.

Data Exchange and SDMX 2.1

Maternal Mortality
MME Info was created for the Maternal Mortality Estimation Inter-agency Group (MMEIG) to present the latest maternal mortality estimates across the world. The application uses an algorithm based on the number of maternal deaths as well as information on the cause, status and timing of maternal deaths to create the estimates. In this webinar the application’s features of graph, series, and estimates will be explored.
