Target : Reduce by two-thirds, between 1990 and 2015, the under-five mortality rate

 

Between 2000 and 2007, child deaths from measles declined by 74 per cent globally, and by a remarkable 89 per cent in Africa. Millions of lives have been saved through immunization.

 

In 2008, 83 per cent of 1 year-old children worldwide were immunized against measles.
