Parents of children who screen positive for disability were statistically significantly more likely to report hitting them on their face, head or ears or repeatedly and as hard as one could, in seven of the 15 countries with available data.
Children with disabilities are particularly prone to discrimination from the very individuals and institutions with an obligation to protect them, including families, health and education services, and the State.
