The Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Government of Honduras has launched a new database system - Info JEM - to disseminate relevant data on youth employment and workforce migration in Honduras. Released in November 2011 and developed with the support of UNICEF, ILO and UNDP, the database is an adaptation of the DevInfo database system endorsed by the United Nations to monitor progress towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals and other national priorities.

The Info JEM database is available online at the website of the Labor Market Observatory, which comes under the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
Info JEM (short for Info Juventud, Empleo y migración) contains data from the 2011 Population and Housing Census and the 2010 and 2011 Household Surveys, which provide up-to-date statistics related to youth employment and migration in the Honduran workforce. Info JEM includes data on 44 indicators related to the labor market, including employment/unemployment status, working hours, income, external/internal migration, and location. Users can search for and view data in maps or graphs, at the national, departmental, and municipal levels.
InfoJEM aims to provide decision makers with the most current data on youth employment and workforce migration, to support ongoing planning and decision-making efforts to better meet the employment needs of young people in Honduras. The Labor Market Observatory will be responsible for training new users, according to demand within the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and other partner institutions.
