Regional efforts to monitor and evaluate human development progress in the Pacific Island countries have been greatly boosted by the July 2010 launch of PacificInfo, now available online at www.pacificinfo.org. PacificInfo is a customized adaptation of the DevInfo database system endorsed by the United Nations for monitoring and tracking progress towards the Millennium Development Goals and other national priorities.

databases. One database tracks MDG data and progress for the 15 Pacific Island countries – Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Tokelau and Vanuatu – as well as data on the progress of the five Pacific LDCs (Samoa, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Kiribati). The second database provides a monitoring and evaluation framework for UNDAF (United Nations Development Assistance Framework) using MDG and Pacific Plan indicators.
DevInfo is a powerful database system for monitoring human development endorsed by the United Nations Development Group (UNDG) to assist countries in monitoring achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
