New data from South Africa gives insights into the progress of human development and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Interested in knowing at a glance which South African provinces have the highest percentages of orphaned children? Or which South African provinces and districts face the greatest challenges in terms of child immunisation coverage, pre-school attendance, or HIV prevalence? Users can now visit di Gallery to access a wide selection of pre-formatted tables, graphs and maps generated from South Africa Development Indicators, an adaptation of the DevInfo database system endorsed by the UN for monitoring progress towards the MDGs. |

di Gallery, one of the main links on the DevInfo website available at http://www.devinfo.org/di_gallery.html, provides access to DevInfo tables, graphs and maps via a searchable online gallery. Users are invited to browse the online gallery and enter keywords (for example, “South Africa”) to search for desired gallery objects, which can then be easily enlarged, copied and pasted into other documents.
di Gallery is intended to serve as a collaborative gallery in which DevInfo users from around the world can contribute their own formatted tables, graphs and maps for inclusion. In this way, di Gallery can serve as a global repository of presentation objects on human development, at both the international and country levels. The newly-available South Africa objects were recently submitted to the DevInfo initiative by Bjorn Gelders, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, UNICEF South Africa.
To learn more about how to submit your presentation objects to di Gallery, please contact support@devinfo.info. |
